moleskine

Well, I love my moleskine. For those who don't know, it is a calendar/journal. I know, it is nuts that I like it so much. Not sure why but I enjoy having them, looking at them, writing in them, carrying them. Calendars are one of my favorite things, that is all there is to it.

Organizing the day, the week, the month, the year feels so good. Sure things will change, that is why I write in pencil, and why Nicole uses so much white out. She loves them too. Writing lists, checking off what gets done, making notes of the things that come to mind. It is all good.

I have tried those fancy electronic ones and it is just not the same. I like the feel of turning the pages. I enjoy looking back. I want to look ahead. It feels good to write, how often do we get to do that anymore.

I have never had a 'moleskine' before and I definitely think it is the best so far. It is a book, I love books, that keeps me organized and I can have it with me all the time. Crazy I know but now I am a happy girl.

I'm with you, I love having my calendar and sticky notes of to-do lists. I even write out my dinners for the week (even if they rarely go exactly as I plan). I use my computer for about everything else but there is something about handwriting lists, crossing things off and looking at the calendar everyday. It must be in our Morgan genes because my mom is the same way!!

I have a moleskine too! I love it. But I use mine for journaling about the road. One side I use for writing the other I draw. It is how I keep my sanity being on the road for so long. Did you know that there is a ton of great history around moleskines? Some people who have used them:

Pablo Picasso
Ernest Hemingway
Vincent van Gogh

you are in good company!

Love and miss you a ton.
