We had a terrific month when our daughter, Nicole, was able to visit us for the first time. A friend said have fun seeing many things again with new eyes, and we did just that. She reminded us how wonderful our house keeper, Ruth, is. And she helped us remember that a flat tire is just plain hard work, no matter how many times it happens. She thought driving on the right side of the car is different but sort of a challenging change. To her our puppies are no longer puppies but big rough lovable boys. And everywhere you turn in Africa there are new creatures to discover and enjoy.

She also told us the best things in Africa are not things because they don't have many things. She loved that people are happy without having much stuff, love to talk and laugh, and are pretty willing to share what they do have. And she would describe life here as 'not easy, or uncomfortable'.
We have the best family and are amazed at how each of them bless our lives, whether right beside us or half a world away.
