Living in a Tanzanian home gives us a very different look on life. There are no closets in this house. So we have spent the last 4 months with things on shelves and in plastic tubs and put in a few drawers. Since we couldn't hang things up, we didn't iron them either. Well, things are changing at the Richmond place
We just had our first 'closet' made. You get furniture here by having it made based on a description and some measurements or a picture if you have one. Then you see what you end up with, never really sure till you see it. It turned out ok but we had much talking and an additional trip to town with a national friend just to get it delivered out to the center. Again, nothing is easy here.
Simply hanging some of our clothes up, and having them wrinkle free, has been fun. But looking at the clothes fill it up I think about what do we need all this stuff for. So a new rule, we only need the things we can fit into this new closet, no more. And when we get something new, something old needs to go. When I say go I mean give it away to the staff here to use or give to someone who needs it.
Ron rolls his eyes at me the thrower, while he the keeper has to go by my new rule. Oh well, that is the way it goes. So here it is, the 'closet' getting filled up and the rest is out of here to help someone else.

My He replace your discarded belongings with rich treasures beyond the highest expectation.
Some of us here need to remember that rule as well! I definitely do as we start to move and realize how much stuff we can accumulate! Thanks for the lesson, I needed to hear that.
