Road Crew

The roads in Africa are one of the most challenging things about this beautiful country. Not many resources are put into the roads that are mostly traveled by foot, human and animal. The weather conditions don't help, with very dry seasons that make the soil into a fine dust and very wet times where the rain comes in down pours and washes the soil but leaves the big rocks.

I wanted to show you the 'road crew' that is working to repair our neighborhood paths. They are shoveling the rock that was donated by the local quarry. Then the transport of the rock was paid for by CMF, and labor is by some familiar faces along with some of the residents in the area. With a community effort our roads are getting drivable, for now.
