First 5 Days

We arrived in Addis Ababa 5 days ago after a 24 hour trip and 5 airports and have been diving into the culture ever since.

Day 1 we toured this city of 4 million people and then the construction site where Ron will be working.

Day 2 we tried to sleep late, explore the compound where we will be staying, and then did our first grocery shopping.

Day 3 we headed to a local craft market and then on to an Ethiopian home for a traditional coffee ceremony.

Day 4 we were at the International Evangelical Church, enjoyed Ethiopian injera and wat (bread and stew) and learned from an international expert on Urban Poor work.

Day 5 Ron headed off to work with the nationals on the stone fence while I took what they call a taxi to the Sheradan Hotel to figure out our internet issues.

What do we think? Most everything is different, not bad, just different!
