african women make it happen

African women have good ideas and work hard.
This CHE group of mama's are making a difference, changing lives.
They run a business to make a profit, provide nutrition, and educate children.

This grinder makes the mixture called Uji.
It is corn, flour, rice, peanuts, and soynuts mixed together for a porridge.
A meal that is filling and includes protein is hard to come by for many.

They designed and print the labels.
In their shop they make the packages using paper around a form.
These 1 kilo bags are sold at many stores (dukas) around town.

When you make the mixture thick enough,
it can be used to glue the packages together.
The ladies thought of that.

Here are 5 maize bags, each full of 90 kilos of Uji.
All this ready to feed and hand out to orphans in the bush.
And the business proceeds go to send 19 village orphans to school.

Like I said, African women can make it happen!
