Home with the BOYS

Ron and I have been in Ethiopia for a few weeks helping the CMF team there with a construction project. We stayed on their compound and as most center's in Africa, they have dogs. It made me miss ours.

Here is Wingu, (cloud in swahili) one of the protectors at our house. He is a rodesian ridgeback mixed with golden lab. The gentle giant is what we call him.

Then there is Kivuli, (shadow in swahili). He is the brother, ridgeback but mixed with rotweiler. This is the small 'kali' or intense one of the two

Ron is still working out of the country, so at night when the power is out and it is very still & dark, I am sleeping really well knowing these guys are on the watch.

While we were gone, they could be heard howling at times. Our neighbors would say, someone go see 'the boys' cause I think they are lonely. The staff did a great job taking care of them, but we kind of spoil them, if you know what I mean.
