precious water

Water is precious here in Africa. On the training center we need a steady flow of it to keep the school running. We have been without it coming from our well (bore hole) for many months now. It is hard to explain why we did not have water: the water table changed, or the pump (pictured here) was not working, or the water was contaminated from neighboring fields, or it just ran dry. So many opinions after much inspection and debate.

Now after another inspection. another measurement of the water level, another test for contamination after a chemical shock, and replacing the pump and pipe twice (pictured here) ---we actually have water flowing freely. Once we get a clean test we can stop trucking water and seem to have a good 20 meter depth supply.

What happened? Only God knows for sure, but we are grateful for all of the prayers offered up for our water. And we are so thankful for the generous partners who are paying for all of this work and repair to keep us supplied with this water. This water keeps us teaching how to share the message of the precious "living water" with so many who thirst but do not know.
