This beautiful Hibiscus was just planted a few weeks ago, but with a little rain and warm days it is healthy and growing into a splash of color in our front yard. It gives me a pause, a breath, a calming effect as I walk by on my way to another day. After a day of practicing Swahili with some of the students, medical consultations about malaria and infections, running to town for kerosene lanterns, patching walls in the cookhouse turned into a guest room, cooking bones for the dogs and stuffed peppers with left over beans and rice for us, and scheduling to move our offices from town onto the training center next week.
--I need the peace a beautiful flower can bring!!

Loved these pictures - brilliant colors! :-) I just spent the last few minutes catching up on your blog - I LOVE reading through what God is doing. The new kitchen looks fabulous and the dogs look great, too...hope you guys are doing well. We miss you and pray for you often!
