Life on a farm, we are loving it. The other day Ron says to me "the workers are late putting the cows in for the day". And then he says "I never thought I would be saying that".
Here is our newest calf just after being born. He is trying to get up and his mom is helping him.

Our staff are used to animals, many being from the Maasai tribe who are herders and almost nothing is as important as their cows.
Here is John, one of our staff who came in on his day off to help with the birth and getting the little one started eating.
From the cows we get warm fresh milk delivered right to our front door. Another first for us.

I grew up with this and it brings back wonderful memories but it is all new and fun to Ron. Right after it was born the guys looked to Ron, who they call Babu, to name the calf. It was on a Saturday so Ron named him Jumamosi (saturday in Swahili).
Jumamosi getting used to life!

Thanks for sharing this post, Jane Ann! :-) How fun. We just had the chance to hold some four day old baby goats at a petting zoo on Saturday. So cuddly.
Just think...you can literally party 'til the cows come home now....or something like that. ;-)
Miss you guys! Love you and praying for you.
