Water is a basic need for all of us, but some people have to think about how to meet this need every day of their lives. Here most Tanzanians must travel, usually walk, to a source for water each day. They carry buckets to the source using their donkeys or wagons or just balance on their heads.
At the training center we have a well that provides enough water to share with the people who live around us. But we run the risk of burning up our motor if we run it all the time. So we hoped to construct a tower to put a water tank on for what the community could use, once we obtained the funds.

We had the pleasure of connecting with a group of ladies recently from the states who were in Tanzania for a medical conference and to see this country. While here they wanted to help people who live here in some way, so we were able to organize this project for our neighborhood.
These lively women came with willing hearts to fund and to build the structure needed to provide a basic need, water. In only 2 days they, along with Ron and some of our staff, put this up. They all had fun sharing a few Swahili and English words and learning some African building methods while doing it.

Our neighbors are getting water in a way that will continue for a long time to come, thanks to a few souls wanting to show some kindness and who were willing to share their resources. Thanks new friends!
We are intimately linked in this harvest work. Anyone who accepts what you do, accepts me, the One who sent you. . . This is a large work I've called you into, but don't be overwhelmed by it. It's best to start small. Give a cool cup of water to someone who is thirsty, for instance. . . Matthew 10:40-42 msg

And in you and Ron, my friends, Jesus has patiently constructed you as His water tanks to distribute the flow of the Holy Spirit within you! There is a thirst that lies far deeper than the thirst for H2O.
Again, all I can say is WOW and praise the Lord! I love hearing how God is using you in Tanzania!!
