They are a handful right now but we are enjoying getting them used to everything here at the training center. In addition to play they will also serve to help with security living out here in the countryside. When Ron is out in the bush doing construction I will like their company and protection.
In most things we do here we try to think how we can use the opportunity to build relationships, so we are training them using Swahili. Their names are Wingu (cloud) and Kivuli (shadow). The people here are mostly afraid of dogs since they are usually used as guards, so these puppies are different and interesting, a topic of discussion and laughter. People stop by to see these little dogs and that gives Ron and I a chance to talk and get to know them better.
They are great enjoyment for me, a way to work on Swahili, and something we can share with our new Tanzanian friends as we teach the pups to kaa (sit) and kuja (come), and of course they are hearing hapana (no) alot!

As dog lovers ourselves, Steve and I think they are beautiful!! What a great birthday present!
Happy Birthday JaneAnn!
Your newest additions are adorable! How fun! The Kelly's are up to 3 dogs now...it's a long story but we added Sophie, a part terrior/Chihuahua dog to the mix earlier this fall. I love her and Rob says he tolerates her, but secretly I know he loves her too! There's a picture of her on my blog...
