Did we get there??

Last you heard we were heading to the airport on the 29th to try to get to Colorado- again!! Well, we did make it and had a great time with our kids and other family. We of course encountered lots of snow, side roads not plowed, getting stuck right in front of the apartment, parking anywhere you can with piles of snow and ice
everywhere, and cars traveling too fast flying off the roads and into the ditch.

You gotta love Colorado- you never know what you will get.

Memories. That is what Ron and I were thinking about on this trip. As we plan to make our new home in Africa in 2007, we know that one thing we can take with us is memories. So during our brief time we tried to open our eyes to what each moment gave to us, that we can keep in our hearts.

• Getting to see and hear Joe playing his guitar- I love that


• Walking out of a bad movie that the rest of the family suckered me into


• Taking Ron shopping with us girls at the ARC


• Hand sewing (a lost art) a torn jacket for my son


• Meeting a soon to be new sister-in-law


• Laughing at a group playing Apples to Apples


• Enjoying the best home made caramels ever


• Staying up for New Years at the movies with Nicole
