Ron and I had a wonderful time sharing our story with a group of 150 people recently where my mom lives (above with her newest great grandson). It was one of the most encouraging experiences I have ever had.
We sat in the front row and listened to the beautiful music played on a grand piano while everyone entered the room. After a prayer we sang a traditional hymn and bowed for prayer. When we got up and I turned around, the room was completely full and I saw a blanket of shades of gray.
My husband and I talked about God's timing and listening for the When God Says in our lives. There were smiles and laughter as we shared Africa pictures and stories of our journey so far. 
At the end of the program there was food and drinks and time to talk. We discovered that the room was full of retired people from many walks of life; doctors, teachers, pastors, engineers, and many missionaries. We felt so blessed by the stories and comments they shared with us.

I felt overwhelmed by the amount of knowledge and life experience in that room and the kindness and support they showed a couple they did not know and may never see again. I suppose wisdom can come in many colors, but I saw it in gray that day.
Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained by living a godly life.
