We got to stop by a favorite place today,
fisherman's terminal in Seattle Washington. A place where the working fishermen dock their boats is also a place of remembering those who lost their lives while fishing, and has a special place to enjoy tasty seafood.

It seems so personal to see the memorials left by families, and wander among the individually named docked fishing boats. These are ordinary people working in hard physical conditions. Growing up on a farm I feel affinity with simple work using your hands. It is important but sometimes forgotten work.

And the yummy food at Chinook's included halibut fish 'n chips and blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Good memories from the day, and from our 3 years living here.
