5.7.10

to each his own

Starting this week we are in full gear having fun on our US home assignment. Here is Ron learning to fly fish at Cottonwood Lake in Colorado. What a perfect day to soak up the sunshine and embrace the beauty of this place. We love Colorado and it will always be a haven for us to recharge our batteries.

Ron is patiently working to tie on a tiny fly and about 20 minutes later he casts out about 3 times before needing another fly. He did catch 5 or 6 fish and really felt successful. After working most of the day with lots of gear including magnifying glasses just to see the tiny equipment , falling twice in the deep muck with waders on, and getting major sunburn on his ears, he had a great adventure.

Not my idea of a fun time. The frustration would have set in at about the 1 hour mark. My day was the best, sitting on the side of the lake having wonderful conversation and reading a good book. And of course soaking in the cool breeze and mountain majesty. Oh, I got sunburned too. You would think it was our first time in the mountains or something.

Thanks for a great time Nancy & Hunter!
