Many days can send us home for a quick
nap with our dogs. This week it is framing in
cement counters for kitchen cabinets at the school, high winds creating
white out conditions on the roads covered with 3 inches of thick dust, an unplanned 3 hour meeting with
Maasai men requiring 4 hours of travel on bad dirt roads,
instant coffee after remembering closed stores on Sundays,
chasing dogs digging in the mud around our newly planted avacado tree, a party to say goodbye where decorating and cooking is a
2 day event, explaining to a metal 'fundi' in Swahili how to build a back yard chair yet
not knowing what you will really get, testing for Malaria but
relieved at only a chest cold, learning you will be doing the
ceremony for your daughters wedding.
Ron, my husband loves it here. Just let him sleep!!
