Another friend we have is the staff supervisor at the training center, Loserian. Here he is with his family at the center Christmas party. He and Ron work closely together on all of the projects done here with the grounds and facilities. We are thankful he does know some English but we try to use our Swahili as much as we can with him.
He is an outgoing, yet gentle man who likes to have fun and laugh right along with Ron, so they have a good time together. Don't let his youth mislead you, he is very talented in working with his hands and is willing to suggest different ways of doing things. That is not typically the African way.

He rides his bike miles to the center at dawn, oversees all the workers here, and then rides home at dusk. When not at work he is an elder in his church, friend who helps with many community construction and repair projects, and a happy dad.
Please pray with us for him as he recovers from an illness not so uncommon in an African country. A way to deal with problems here can be to put something in someone's food to make them sick. It is hard to prove and difficult to identify. He is better and we believe the situation is resolved.
It is an interesting place we live in.

Your final comments brought the words of Jesus to my mind. "I am the bread of life. He who EATS Me shall never die".
Let us dine on Him!
