Our shipment has arrived!

After about 9 months of sitting in a storage shed in Denver, our stuff has made it half way around the world and into the old cook room out behind our house. All 22 boxes made it, though some were broken and taped together. But the amazing thing is everything is in one piece, except our Gatorade exploded so that box is full of orange powder.

What fun finding things we had forgotten about or things we couldn't wait to have here. Some of our treasures include a good knife for the kitchen, zip lock bags, disposable razor blades, drill bits that don't break and screws that the heads don't snap off, our printer, hot cocoa and craisins.

Thelma- the portable cribs and soccer balls made it for the kids. Marti- we can't wait to use the ice cream maker. Jim- Ron's clubs are finally here!

We have already hung our pictures, got our water filter set up, and unpacked the sleeping bags and cooler to use this week on our first camping trip out into the bush. Ron has all of his tools in his shed and my heavy duty fry pan has already made tortillas.

Five months without this stuff and we did just fine, but life will be a little better with a few things from home.

Maybe we should all pack up our "stuff" and send it around the world back to us. Maybe then we could appreciate what we have rather than keep looking for something new

Radical thought, I know!
