We wake up surrounded by our mosquito net, put our sweatshirts and house shoes on as the cement floors are cold, and head outside to the outhouse like bathroom. Then we fill pitchers with water from the sand filters by our back door and bring it in to heat water for tea and make coffee. We use a propane stove and electric refrigerator so cooking is good. Clean up is with buckets and tubs.
Our house helper, Mama Melki, who does the laundry by hand, also helps us with language and will start cooking and teaching me african dishes next week. Days are filled with getting supplies which is an ordeal, language school planning, and things like getting drivers licenses and hooking up cell phones. At night we are home reading and enjoying the sounds of chickens and donkeys and cows outside our window.
We pray our home will be filled with happiness and laughter and be welcoming and peaceful to all who enter in.

I add my prayer to yours my friends. I pray for opportunities for you to see our merciful God in new aspects. I pray that your love for each other grows and you grow deeper and deeper in love with Jesus as He reveals new facets of His glory to you!

I'm so glad that you made it to Tanzania and have a place to live. God bless you both as you transition into the things that God has for you.
I am amazed by all the new challenges you face and your positive attitude toward each one! Sounds like your routine is working well. May God continue to bless your work there.
