Well, we are headed to Africa but not to Tanzania. Our new destination is Ethiopia. To catch everyone up, our Tz residency permits have not come through yet so while we wait we are getting the opportunity to help another CMF team.
On February 19th we leave for Addis Ababa which is the capitol of Ethiopia. The team there is beginning a large construction project and are in need of someone to coordinate that, so Ron is more than ready to take on that role temporarily. I will also get to help in some capacity using my nursing experience. So it looks like we will be kept busy, which is what we like.
Ethiopia! It is in East Africa and has a popluation of about 76 million. It is the oldest independent country in Africa and is one of the oldest nations of the world. Language is arabic based with 80+ different dialects, but English is also spoken some and we are glad for that. This country is the original source of coffee (Ron's favorite) and the bean is their largest export.
We have a week to repack since we are only taking a couple of trunks on the plane with us and will ship the rest to Tz when we get approval to enter that country. In Addis Ababa we will be renting a home on a month to month basis so our plans will be flexible and may change at a moments notice.
Are we nervous? No! Are we excited? Yes!

I am excited for you too!! I am sure this has been a challenge to keep your focus in not knowing where and when you were going. Yes, God is good, and knows our needs and challenges. He will be at your side at all times. Our prayers and blessings as you go.
